How SAI was started
The inspiration behind SAI is Mohit. Mohit is 21 years old- the older of 2 siblings. Mohit has autism. Anil and Kamini Lakhani were a typical couple- living in South Korea.
Mohit is the joy of their life. When he was diagnosed with ASD at age 3-it changed their life for ever. In their search for better services for Mohit, the Lakhanis' made numerous trips to the United States. This is where their ‘education about autism’ began. In the course of 15 years, Kamini studied and trained to be the best teacher she could be for her own son. She says that this would never have been possible without the support of her husband and daughter, Tanya.
She became a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst No. 0-05-1841 Certified by BACB- ‘Behavior Analyst Certification Board' ( USA ) in June 2005
Mrs. Kamini A. Lakhani completed her RDI Training in May 2009. At present she is an RDI Program Certified Consultant Certified by the Connection Center in U.S.A.
She has the unique distinction of being the only BCABA and an RDI Program Certified Consultant, in this part of the world

SAI was born out of a longing to create a quality center for children/adults with autism.
It is a center where children with autism are the focal point and where they are respected and nurtured.

To provide centers such as SAI, Mohit Lakhani Charitable trust was formed.
It is registered under number- E 22539 (Mumbai)

The SAI team is led by Mrs. Kamini Lakhani- the Director.
This committed team consists of 25 special educators, 1 Occupational Therapist, 5 teachers’ assistants and a group of dedicated volunteers. Each educator’s work is closely monitored by Mrs. Lakhani. Training, supervision and feedback is provided to each staff member.
